Some things find you before you find them. Art found me at seven years old, in the way light moved through leaves, the way colour shifted with the seasons, the way nature seemed to breathe. I didn't plan to become an artist. I just never stopped paying attention.

For over two decades I worked behind a camera lens, learning the language of light intimately and deeply. That time shaped everything. It taught me how light doesn't just illuminate a scene, it transforms it. It carries feeling. It holds memory.

That understanding lives in every painting I create. My work, what I call my "Meditative Lightscapes," is built from layers of light, texture and colour drawn from nature and from life. Each piece I paint is an invitation to slow down, to feel something, to simply be.

This is my why. Art as a way of living more mindfully. Beauty as something you return to, not just look at.

Where my Art Stands Today

In December 2024, my work appeared on a billboard in Times Square, New York. For a girl who simply never stopped paying attention to light, that moment felt surreal and full circle. Today my art is collected globally, held in the homes of people who understand that beauty is not decoration. It is sustenance.

Visibility was never the goal. Meaning is.

Conservation sits at the heart of everything I create. Nature has given me everything as an artist, its light, its colour, its quiet. Giving back to it is not a choice, it is a responsibility. That belief led me to my partnership with Taronga Zoo, a collaboration rooted in the shared conviction that creativity and conservation belong together. When you bring one of my pieces into your home, you are part of that story too.

I’m a lover of words, having written 6 books. My latest book, “How To Be A Art Snob… Even If You’re Not One!” draws upon my observations and experiences as an artist, intimidated to walk into an art gallery even as an artist, dealing with collectors, being on the outer, looking inside via a witty lens.
